We thoroughly enjoyed our last few days at Fort McCoy in Sparta!  We left Palisades a bit late due to what I will just call “the slack line incident” so we didn’t arrive until after 7 on Thursday. Kids checked out the playground but I guess it looks better than it is.

  
Our site was perfect!  Even had trees for the slack line that we now know how to set up😃.  

I woke up to Logan saying honeybuns.  We did camp Olympics.  But first we made creesonts with pie filling in the middle.  Then we played mini golf.  Me and my dad tied.  Logan beat Zoe by like 3 strokes.  1 point for the good me and Logan guys.  Then we did the slack line I fell off during my turn almost right away.  1 point for the bad guys Zoe and dad.  Then we had to take a swimming test to go on the slide.  O the water was 33 degrees F.  It was not worth it ethe bad guys got the point. The we went on peddle boats me and my mom won.  Then us kids went out.  NOT VERY FUN WHEN ZOE INSITTESTS THAT SHE GETS TO DRIVE.  Then we took a break we never really played any more camph Olympics.  We got a peddle cart.  We used for a while the played with lucky WITH NO LEASH.  He came back every time!  Then we played and went to bed.  Today I was  waken up by my mom for the mud run.  It was .5 miles.  I CAME IN 1st!!!!!

Me and my sister Zoe were making a sign for my nana and papa with wiki sticks.  When we got to my nana and papa we were at a gluten free cake factory.  When I saw my nana and papa I was SO happy to see them!  My mom and dad went outside and told them they didn’t have enough space for all of their stuff.  We made it fit in though.

When we first got to Palisades my mom found a good place for the slack line. It was perfect! But we couldn’t put it up yet. First we had plans (sort of). We were going to a lake to swim.  We were biking up to the lake and there were lots of up and down hills.  I like going down hill much better than going up hill!  First we climbed king and queen rock.  The rock has its own natural steps!

The lake was really cold so at first Logan and I were daring each anther to go in. I was the first to get in to the water then Logan. Zach never got in. Instead of getting in Zach just sat on the ledge and ate Doritos.  Underneath in the lake the rocks went up and down so me and Logan kept stumbling over the rocks.  The water was cold but it felt refreshing because it was hot outside.

The next day we got the slack line all the way up and we used it.  It was awesome!

My mom said it would be a let down, but it wasn’t.  I liked it. The whole thing was a basketball court.  And gift shop.  I wanted a marshmallow gun, but my mom isn’t fun.  So I got zotz.  Then we got back on the road.

PS my mom loved it.

Yesterday we met with the Jacobs me and Zoe switched clothes.  Joey came sprinting in and then he stoped.  He didn’t know who was who. It only took him 6 sec.  Then we fooled around with horseshoes.  Then we went to my RV they went in a car.  We looked for my lax stick but didn’t find in so I used one of there’s it was me and Joey vs hank and Logan.  Then we stoped got Gatorade and mixed it together.  We played lax.  Then went to eat at the RV  we had steak and mash potatoes. Then we played more lax but then we saw lighting so we went in and watched dif’fernt strokes.  Then we went to bed.  

I was awaken by my mom it was the middle of the night and……………………………………………….. just kidding I woke up and ate.  I was starving.  Then Joey and lojo came over.  We were going to go on a hike.  We could hike up almost anything.  I was scared because of the signs that said beware rattlesnakes.  We hiked every where.  Then me Joey and hank continued and we had a great view.  I was sweating to death and back when we got back.  I had 5 Popsicles.  We went back and played some lax and went in and ate.  We played a version of hide and go seek.  Then went to bed.

Then I woke up and played with Joey and hank lax.  We ended when Joey threw his stick at hank.When we went to drop off the bear spray Joey and hank weren’t outside just Maya so we expected Joey wasn’t happy.  So we pack up and got on the road.

My mom, Zoe, and Logan had left to swim.  So me and my dad were left on different rocks so we both met up.  We went to a place on the huge rock formation.  I didn’t go to the edge.  We climbed back down and we were walking towards our bikes and there it was!  A 3-6 foot bull snake.  I think I almost had a seizure or a heart attack.  I ran so fast toward my dad I could run to Mexico in an hour ( we are in South Dakota ).  It picked its head up and I was already scared but that did it I was on th edge off crying.  I WAS FREAKED FREAKED FREAKED FREAKED FREAKED FREAKEDx100,000,000,000,000,000.  

  
P.S it was the first time I saw a wild snake.

We went on a hike to see devils tower. we saw lots (and lots) of fallen boulders big and small and all the sizes in between. Me and Logan started climbing up the fallen rocks but then he heard a rattle snake and went down even it was down there. Then Zach started climbing I didn’t really want to wait so I just slowed down when he finally caught up we went to the first tree which is like300-feet.

It was dark and stormy night… just kidding. We were setting up a fire with a special piece of wood. Once it was going we roasted s’mores. I made mine golden brown (perfect). The boys we’re burning marshmallows for fun. I accidentally burnt 1. My parents cooked their dinner over the fire.(some of the burnt marshmallows were on the foil packet.

The corn Palace is a palace like thing that has murals on the outside.  The inside is a gift shop. In the gift shop we got some bingo that you can play on the road.  My mom went to the corn palace when she was a kid.  When my mom went there it was just a concrete floor with a tipi in the middle.
